Alex Van Halen is excited about a series of book signings and live conversation events to promote his eagerly awaited memoir, “Brothers”, set for release on October 22. The memoir provides an in-depth exploration of Alex’s relationship with his late brother and legendary guitarist, Eddie Van Halen.

To commemorate the release, Alex will hold two book signings: one on October 21 at Barnes & Noble on Fifth Avenue in New York City, and another on October 22 at Books & Greetings in Northvale, New Jersey. There will also be a live conversation event that will take place on October 24 at The Frost Auditorium in Culver City, California, hosted by Live Talks LA. This event will be available both in-person and virtually.
“Brothers” offers a closer look into the bond between the Van Halen brothers, highlighting their journey from their early days to their meteoric rise in the music industry. A unique aspect of the book is the inclusion of “Unfinished,” the final song Alex and Eddie ever wrote together, which will be available exclusively in the audiobook version. Alex recently previewed this special track on Instagram.
In his memoir, Alex Van Halen reflects on the soulful connection he shared with Eddie, recounting their experiences from childhood to their prolific music careers. He writes…
“I was with him from day one. We shared the experience of coming to this country and figuring out how to fit in. We shared a record player, an 800-square-foot house, a mom and dad, and a work ethic. Later, we shared the back of a tour bus, alcoholism, the experience of becoming successful, of becoming fathers and uncles, and of spending more hours in the studio than I’ve spent doing anything else in this life. We shared a depth of understanding that most people can only hope to achieve in a lifetime.”
Brothers” will be available in a 384-page hardcover edition, priced at $32.00. Fans can pre-order the book from various retailers, but those who purchase directly from VanHalenStore.com will receive a collectible item as a special bonus. Pre-order details will be released closer to the October 22 release date. To stay updated and join the waitlist, visit Van Halen Store’s website.
