Drummer Patrick Galante has left Ice Nine Kills! Galante was a drummer for the band between 2018 to the present day, and notes that he’s not done making music. Ice Nine Kills has not yet commented on Galante’s departure.

The news comes just a day after Ice Nine Kills released their new single, “A Work of Art,” the official track for the highly awaited slasher sequel Terrifier 3, which hit theaters nationwide. The band also released a 14-minute extended cut of the accompanying music video, directed by Jensen Noen and featuring Terrifier stars David Howard Thornton and Catherine Corcoran. The video, packed with gore and special effects by Academy Award winner Christopher Nelson, continues the band’s signature cinematic style.
To commemorate the release, Ice Nine Kills launched their Nightmare On The Ninth merch capsule, offering officially licensed Terrifier items. The band will also join Metallica and Limp Bizkit on select stadium dates for the 2025 leg of Metallica’s M72 world tour.
Patrick Galante recounted, “Performing with Ice Nine Kills has been an incredible experience and I can’t thank my brothers in INK enough for their trust and faith in me throughout the past 6 years. That being said, I have made the difficult decision to part ways with Ice Nine Kills.
I’m excited to watch INK continue its success as I pursue other creative and musical projects. I would like to thank you all for your continued support of my endeavors. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life and career, so keep your eyes and ears open for what’s to come.
Galante also added: “This is not my departure from music. This is not my retirement from the stage. This is just the ending of a chapter, and I’m ready to explore the rest of my story. I am happy, healthy, and thankful for all your support.”
